History

 

Year 1993

The architect Lluís Saiz and the technical architect Artur Ortiz came together to set up the first architectural studio in a 50 m2 office in Calle Aribau in Barcelona.

Year1996

The company Idea Arquitectura i Enginyeria, SCP, was founded, specializing in the implementation of bank offices.

Year 1999

AB6 Obres i Serveis, SL, was founded as a new company in the group with the aim of executing building projects.

Year 2002

The brand Grup Idea was created in order to bring together all the group brands.

Year2005

The company opened its headquarters in downtown Barcelona at the new 400-m2 office Plaza del Ángel no. 2.

Year 2009

We launched Reset, a new strategic plan to enhance internationalization, focussing on the implementation of retail projects, corporate offices and healthcare facilities. The architects Miquel Àngel Julià and Rodolfo Pérez-Martos and the technical engineer Alejandro Mora joined Grup Idea as new business partners.

Year 2013

Abessis was created as the brand name of the company AB6 Obres i Serveis, SL, based in Valencia, Spain. The technical architect Juan Guaita became Abessis general manager and business partner of Grup Idea. We set up new subsidiaries in Mexico City and Paris.

Year 2014

A new 2015-2018 strategic plan was drawn up to focus on the international consolidation of the construction and implementation business, as well as the growth of the space design business. Nuklee was set up as an interior and product design brand.

Year 2016

The Mexico office moves to Calle Amberes. A new subsidiary is opened in the United Kingdom and an office is opened in Paris-Opera. Activity in the UK is increased and an office is opened in Cavendish Square in central London.

Year 2018

The new strategic plan is designed until 2021, which includes a new corporate image and the expansion of the Valencia office.
